WE ARE… that’s who!

Once again this year our Middle School youth and leaders will be headed “back to the mountain” to join other youth and leaders from around the Virginia Synod (ELCA), for a great spiritual retreat weekend. For those of you who might not be familiar with “L&F”, it is a weekend long, Friday night to Sunday noon, time of fun, singing, Bible study, fun, fellowship, laughing, coming in contact with the living Christ, and oh, did I say this, FUN!!! Held at the Eagle Eyrie Retreat Center, Lynchburg, VA, it gives youth (and adults) a great chance to connect with others from around the Synod, to share in their spiritual journey together, to ask tough questions, and explore answers together. The format of the weekend includes large group time when the whole community gathers together and theme presentations are given, and small group time, with 8 – 10 youth and 1-2 adult leaders, where the theme is explored in greater detail. All-in-all L&F is a very rewarding, life changing, transformational event that leaves everyone looking forward to the next time they can go “back to the mountain.”
