Just a Note
by Pastor @ St. Timothy ~ July 8th, 2009
Some of you know that my wife and I have been in the process of moving these last couple of days – or should I say weeks… No to be honest we’ve been in the process of moving ever since last August. But now we are finally in our “new digs” – in our new “hood.” The house is great, the neighbors are great – everything is well. Oh, well, we do have a “few” boxes that we need to empty out, but this will all get done…, sooner or later. One of the greatest things about being in our own place with our own stuff is that I can do the laundry while I write my blog and I don’t have to put quarters in the machine!
Anyway that partially explains why I haven’t been very regular with my blog of late – but I promise, I will get better. I have a conscience for my blog. She reminds me when I’ve been neglecting to write, which I am very thankful for. That is part of the reason I am writing this afternoon because, even though the boxes are screaming at me, I felt this was important to do.
One final note. Power in the Spirit starts tomorrow and runs through noon on Saturday, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to squeeze in any posts the next couple of days or not…, we’ll see.
A second final note… The Lutheran 101 classes are going really well. This weeks topic is Holy Communion or the Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper – we learned this sacrament has many names – and the morning class had all done their homework and came with a host of questions! Both the morning and evening classes seem to be excited about this course and getting a lot out of it. It’s kind of funny though that it is the “old Lutherans” who make up most of the classes – not very many of the “converts” have come… yet.
Blessings to all from God our Father and the Lord, Jesus Christ.
