Attention All Church Musicians
by Pastor @ St. Timothy ~ February 27th, 2009
(That title is a little misleading in that this announcement EXCLUDES our current Director of Music, Bart Kuebler) But for everyone else, please read the following announcement.
I received the following in an email for Navy Chaplin Steve Beyer. If you are interested, or know anyone who might be, please contact him directly; his phone number is at the end of the message. Thanks.
“Can you recommend a musician for the Naval Station Chapel?
Our contract musician is leaving and I need to find a replacement. One
service at 1030. We have an organ and piano. I would like to find a musician
that is comfortable with both but at this point in the chapel’s worship life
the piano is probably the preferred instrument. Prelude, hymns, offertory,
postlude. Pretty simple compared to sung liturgies
This is a contract position that is renewed annually.
The need is IMMEDIATE. I don’t expect to fill this contract immediately, so
I am also open to a short-term substitute. If you have a parishioner or
friend that is able to fill-in for a few weeks (or months) while we find a
long-term fill that is also helpful. I may even need a sub this Sunday.
I don’t handle the contracts and can’t (by law) discuss money with
candidates for the contract position. I can say that a short-term
substitute filling-in for our current musician will be compensated $150 per
service.”
Thanks!

Steve Beyer
